The Assembly is an interactive theatre-meets-board-game experience about sustainability and democracy,
designed for grades 6-8, where theatre, strategy, and social activism meet!
Nominated for five Dora Mavor Moore awards in 2025, we are bringing The Assembly back to Toronto schools April 21st - May 1st, 2026.
We also wanted to give our community a couple of extra opportunities to see the show right here at Weston Common (34 John Street)!
ποΈ Friday, April 17th
β° 4:30PM
&
ποΈ Saturday, May 2nd - 2 performances!
β° 11AM & 2PM
During every performance, students form The Assembly, where they are invited to work together to balance their cityβs current needs with the needs of future generations. This show is a fun, cooperative 75-minute challenge that gives students and audience members the chance to collaborate, deepen their empathy, and understand their impact on future generations.
If you know a school or classroom who'd be interested in this unique, hands-on experience, you can send an email to Artistic & Access Producer Mandy E. MacLean to get connected with an info guide and booking form!
